7 tips for posing in your wedding pictures

This is one of the most frequently asked questions by future brides: How do I pose at my wedding?

That’s a good question. On your wedding day, you will be photographed from every possible angle, from group photos to the most intimate moments with your partner. In this article, I have prepared a list of things to keep in mind on the big day.

7 Consejos Para Posar En Las Fotografias De Tu Boda 3

Smile

Smile all the time, enjoy your family and friends. It is important to show your most sincere smile. To emphasize it, use a good lip gloss, or wet your lips. This will make your lips look thicker and prettier. Smiling is not only done with your mouth, your eyes also transmit your smile, they bring a sparkle and shine.

Tilt

When posing for the photographer, whether standing alone, with your partner or with the bridesmaids, it is favorable to tilt a body part. For example, tilt your head slightly to one side, you can drop a shoulder or gently raise a hip. This way, you will be able to enhance your curves, and give more dynamism to the pose.

Stylish arms

Showing yourself more stylish is possible, by moving the different parts of your body. You can try moving your arms forward slightly, separating them from your body, for example. This will help to make the pose more dynamic, and will also help you to stylize your figure. You can also put your hand on your partner’s shoulder or on his chest. Avoid putting your fingers in the shape of claws, leave them relaxed and extended. If you are sitting, you can gently drop your hands on your knees or thighs.

Stretch your neck, your back and bend your hips

This advice is really interesting. When you do a pose for the photographer, try to stretch your neck. This will slim the throat, stretching the skin and making you look taller. It is also important to stretch your spine and make it straight, which will give you a greater sense of security. Try to breathe deeply, to highlight your chest, and the expression of your face. Finally, curve your hips as much as you can within your comfort zone, either outwards or sideways. Make the most of a woman’s sexiest side.

Look back

A very elegant pose is to turn your back to the photographer and perform a slight gaze backwards, lowering your eyes slightly. This is a classic wedding photograph that will enhance your figure and evoke romance in the image.

The best angle

As you know, we all have a “good side”, which makes us look better and more wonderful. Our face is not symmetrical to a greater or lesser extent and it is a good exercise to know which is your good side. To find out, put yourself in the mirror and take a good look at yourself, making gestures comparing each side of your face. This will be an advantage when posing in front of the camera.

Makeup

A good make-up is undoubtedly important, not only to be radiant all day long, but also because natural light is sometimes a little difficult to control, and shows some flaws in the skin so it is essential to use a good base to smooth. Using a good mascara, to enlarge your eyelashes or define your eyebrows, will help you look better. Our friends at Fanny & Co have been experts for years in making makeup and hairstyles for brides.

I want to say that a good pose is fundamental, whether you know it or not, I can assure you with my experience as a wedding photographer, that you will come out natural, elegant and great, since in my wedding reports I take great care of the look of the pose.
